Booking

To secure a booking, a proof of the group leader's proof of identity will be required as well as these terms and conditions read and approved.

If your booking is carried out through a rental site such as Booking.com or Abritel, their conditions and payment terms apply.

If your booking is done directly with ” V I L L A   D ' A M O U R ”, a 30% deposit of the whole rental amount is necessary to block your dates and the remaining rental balance will be due 60 days before arrival. Bookings arranged within 60 days of arrival will require full rental payment.

In any case, the guarantee deposit will be required 7 days before arrival.

On receipt of the group leader's proof of identity (i.e. copy of passport), these terms and conditions read and approved as well as the full balance, including the guarantee deposit, a rental contract will be issued thus fully securing your booking.

The keys of ” V I L L A   D ' A M O U R ” will not - in any case - be given unless this rental contract in effect has been issued.

To ensure that bedrooms, patio and swimming pool arrangements are optimal for your group, your preferences should be received at the time of booking.

Cancellation

If payments have not been received as specified above, we may accept another reservation. This would lead to your booking being cancelled and the refund of all payments received.

If your booking was done directly with ” V I L L A   D ' A M O U R ”, the following terms and conditions concerning cancellation apply …

If your stay at ” V I L L A   D ' A M O U R ” needs to be cancelled because of events affecting the general population (for instance, new COVID-19 restrictions), all amounts received are fully refunded even if the cancellation occurs on the day arrival is due. This applies if exceptional circumstances (e.g. act of god) force us to cancel your booking.

Otherwise, while the guarantee deposit and "taxe de séjour" (if pre-paid) is, of course, fully refunded regardless of when the cancellation occurs, the rental cost is refunded as follows …

For instance: Cancellation of a 2-week stay 54 days before arrival is due with full amount received: guarantee deposit and “taxe de séjour” fully reimbursed, 50% first week rental refunded and 100% of extra days refunded (more than 60 days from start of rental).

Description of area available for rent

The main villa is rented for the guests' exclusive use (which the caretakers would only access, if required, at pre-agreed times for the purpose of necessary maintenance). The main villa consists of …

Villa rental boundaries

For rental longer than a week, sheets and bath towels are changed after every full week of rental.

The rate does not include any consumable not mentioned above. The cost of additional change of sheets, towels, etc., if requested, will be borne by the guests. Cleaning during a stay, can be done by the guests or the caretakers will be able to recommend cleaner services that the guest would pay for directly.

Arrivals to departures

Unless exceptions are agreed prior to arrival and departure (depending an adjacent bookings) …

On arrival, you will be greeted by the friendly French and English caretakers who will present the property and answer all your questions about the villa and its surroundings. It will also be the opportunity for the caretakers to agree with you, if, when and where, maintenance should be carried out during your stay (for instance, mow lawn, treat the swimming pool).

During their stay, guests are expected to respect the neighbourhood and keep the villa maintained and clean. Rubbish is discarded at the entrance of the hamlet, opposite the bus stop. Please think about sorting your rubbish out (“Pensez au tri”).

After your departure, an end of stay clean up is necessary to ensure the villa is ready for the next guests. This cleaning is included in the rate.

Garantee deposit

” V I L L A   D ' A M O U R ” is delivered to guests clean with all equipment in good working order. The guarantee deposit is to help us make sure the next guests will enjoy the same welcome.

All objects, furniture or equipment damaged in anyway as well as any damage to paints, paintings, ceiling, doors, windows, beds, etc. will be charged to the guest, deducted from the guarantee deposit to be re-imbursed. If necessary, the cost of a thorough clean-up will be deducted from the deposit to refund: It is best to leave ” V I L L A   D ' A M O U R ” in the state that you found it on arrival.

The garantee deposit is refunded in full (minus deductions, if any) within 3 days of the guest departure.

Accidents & Injuries

” V I L L A   D ' A M O U R ” is rented as is. While all installations are safe, accidents can still happen. The owners and caretakers will not be responsible in anyway for any accidents and injuries that could happen to guests. Guests are responsible for their own safety, just like they would be in their own home.
